🐾 Meet Choclatine: The Pup with a Heart of Gold 🐶

Once upon a time, in a world that can sometimes be cruel, fate smiled upon a little furball named Choclatine. His story began with an act of kindness from two young boys who found him and his three siblings abandoned, discarded like trash. These boys brought them to a shelter, and it's here that the tale of our adorable Choclatine unfolds.

Choclatine, from day one, radiated a unique charm that captured the hearts of everyone who met him. With his sweet, soulful eyes and boundless energy, he quickly became the darling of the shelter. His resilience and capacity for joy despite his difficult start in life inspired all who crossed his path.

As days turned into weeks, Choclatine's siblings found loving forever homes, leaving him still waiting for his own family to come along. It seemed unfathomable that this charming pup hadn't received a single adoption application. But as they say, good things come to those who wait.

Our little Choclatine, named for his stunning red-brown coat that resembled the most indulgent chocolate, didn't let the wait get him down. He spent his days playing with toys, bringing smiles to the faces of shelter staff and volunteers. His infectious energy and playfulness were matched only by the size of his growing ears, which seemed to have a growth spurt of their own!

Now, at 6 1/2 months old, Choclatine has blossomed into a tall and slim, 8-kilogram bundle of joy. His personality is as rich as his coat, with a mischievous streak that keeps everyone entertained. He's proven to be a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs, and he's ready to be a loyal companion to a loving family.

Choclatine is healthy, vaccinated and ready for his forever home.

What does it cost to adopt a dog?

The adoption costs are $3,000 MXN for Mexican Nationals, $550 CND Canadian or $400 USD for Temporary or Permanent residents living in Mexico. Adoption costs for dogs adopted in countries other than Mexico are $750 CND or $600 US dollars. Don't forget, wherever you live, to budget for all the other things your new fur-baby will need.

What does the fee include?
This includes vet blood work and check up, including all needed follow-ups, any medications needed to get him healthy, spay or neuter by vet, food and care while at SULA, the vet pre-flight check up and clearance and any needed meds before flying, transport to the airport, all paperwork, all vaccinations, the cost for the airline transport, and use of a kennel in transport, a sweater and harness for arrival, and endless love.
