The Local Foster Program is perfect for people in Puerto Vallarta who would love to help a dog get back on their paws.
You have the choice of short or long term foster placements. These are specifically for dogs that really need a home environment to heal or who are especially challenged at the SULA shelter.

SULA Sponsorship Program
Some pups expect to stay in SULA for an extended time due to factors outside of SULA's control, such as their health requirements, young puppies, or the cargo bans.
While the adoption fees help to pay for initial treatment and end adoption and transportation costs, it does not recover the ongoing costs for dogs that are expected to stay in SULA for months or years, and it does not cover the costs for dogs that require extensive vet treatments and/or surgeries, and it does not cover any upgrades to facilities needed, especially for larger dogs.
If you would like to help these dogs with their care costs, which makes it possible for SULA to continue to help heal and give these dogs a chance for a forever family and a hopeful life, please complete a sponsorship form.
The ongoing costs to run a no-kill shelter of this size are enormous and it is only possible to continue with adoptions, donations, and sponsorships.
